Nail enhancements are an increasingly popular treatment within the professional beauty industry. The last few years have seen the introduction of UV gel systems which can be used to provide natural looking overlays or enhancements.

UV gel nails are perfect for clients who are looking for a longer lasting nail treatment than a manicure as they can last for as long as three weeks. Clients will need to return to the salon to have these removed or infilled, guaranteeing you repeat bookings.

 

The GTi Gel Nails course covers how to complete gel overlays and extensions as well as the maintenance, repair and removal of the treatment in order to provide a full gel nails service.

 

The course also covers reception and consultation, contra-indications to treatment and aftercare advice. It also includes detailed technique modules which show you how to apply gel nails.

The course is beautifully written and accompanied by images, video clips and a voiceover to give you the best possible learning experience.

Solo Tuition with AWARD Qualification £299

One-to-one training delivered by a tutor at their venue. Payable in instalments.

The course is fully accredited by the Guild of Beauty Therapists, the UK’s leading professional beauty trade body, for membership and insurance purposes. Upon completion of the course, students will receive a full-colour certificate for a GTi Award in Gel Nails.

 

Please note: If you are not already a member of the GTi you are required to join as a Student Member costing £25 and paid directly to the GTi.

 

You need to purchase a gel nails starter kit for this course costing around £100 +VAT. More information will be given regarding where to purchase the kit once you have booked your course.

 

Pay for this course in 2 instalments. The first instalment secures your place on the course. The second instalment gives you access to the training materials, online theory test paper and practical tuition.

  • How It Works

    • The theory test: Training materials are downloaded and theory module assessments completed online at the GTi website. You must pass all assessments before being able to participate with the course practical..

     

    1 day practical: Starting at 10am and finishing at 5pm you will be taught all of the skills you will need to deliver a professional Gel Nails treatment. There is no practical test. Instead we assess your understanding and ability of each treatment technique as it is taught.

     

    Our GTi Courses are arranged as either solo or bespoke training which means that you will need to provide a model.

    Course Modules

    This is the background and theory that you study from home and then complete an online test paper before attending your practical training. It is easily completed with between 8-12 hours of study time. For some people it may take a little longer.
